Even if the mini PCs, whether with an AMD or Intel processor, now achieve really impressive values with the integrated graphics unit, the performance still lags far behind that of a dedicated graphics card. Some manufacturers have therefore brought out systems that are designed like a notebook without a screen and keyboard. However, Beelink does not seem to be satisfied with mobile graphics cards and, with the EX Dock, makes it possible to connect fully-fledged desktop graphics cards to compatible mini PCs. So let’s take a look at this absolute niche product together.
Packaging and scope of delivery
The dock is supplied in a compact cardboard box, which also looks good with the accompanying mini PC. However, we will take a separate look at this in a separate test report.
As there’s not much interesting to see on the outside, we’ll venture straight into the inside.
For now, we can only see the underside of the docking station, which is best removed by turning the box over.
Hidden under the plastic holder are the accessories consisting of two 8-pin PCIe power cables, a C14 cable and two narrow brackets. In addition to the screws, the bag also contains an adapter card for an optional WLAN module.
Specifications
Below is a fairly straightforward list of the key data; you can find more details on the manufacturer’s product page.
