When it comes to keyboards, there are various preferences, starting with simple things like with or without cables and ending with the color. For this reason, the ASUS ROG Falchion RX Low Profile in particular is in many places only something for lovers of 65 percent keyboards who can also cope with low profile keycaps. What’s more, this keyboard is currently only available in white. What a pity! ASUS has set the RRP at 189.90 euros, which gave me a serious headache at first. How do you justify something like this when a Sharkoon PureWriter W65 only costs 90 euros? Even the in-house ASUS ROG Falchion ACE currently only costs 90 euros. Unfortunately, ASUS did not answer my question as to whether the keyboard would also do my shopping in the supermarket for this price.
So let’s go on a journey to find out to what extent ASUS offers something technically that could somehow explain the price. Let’s start with the packaging and the scope of delivery.
The packaging already makes it clear why the price is so escalating. It says ASUS ROG on it – joking aside. In addition to the 2.4 GHz dongle, Bluetooth is also built in and you have to license it, which is quite expensive. In addition, there are no zero-eight-fifteen buttons installed here. The RX buttons are optically mechanical and were developed in-house by ASUS. This is also reflected in the price. But 190 euros? There has to be more.
If you take everything out of the packaging, you get a USB-C to USB-A cable, the dongle, a plastic cover for the keyboard and the keyboard itself. This is manageable at first, but also sufficient. The workmanship is really high quality, as you can tell from the weight. Except for the keycaps, which are only made of ABS, only high-quality materials are used. Aluminum frame, sound-absorbing layers on the inside, a large battery and of course all the technology for Bluetooth etc. The keyboard can be ergonomically adjusted to three different heights, so everyone should be able to find the right position.
The cover is a nice gimmick, because on the one hand it protects the keyboard during transportation. On the other hand, if you leave it for a longer period of time, the dust settles on the cover and not on the keys. Practical! What else is hidden inside the Falchion RX Low Profile?

Basically everything you need, or maybe not. So much for that, but now for another point: Can anyone still remember the article? The ASUS ROG Strix Scope RX – Click here!
Let me quote myself:
“I still have to address a very personal matter at this point. Because I am a real advocate of low-profile keyboards. Along the lines of the Sharkoon PureWriter RGB. It would certainly not only please me, but also many others out there, if you could also find such a very good keyboard as a low-profile variant – optionally on offer!”
ASUS heard me, because I was already convinced by the RX keyboards back then. Now the Falchion RX Low Profile could actually replace the Sharkoon PureWriter. Drum roll…
