Here and there you see teasers of multi-material systems from other providers, so Prusa and Bambu Lab have to make some room in the niche. Anycubic are now the first on the market and are launching their “ACE Pro” together with a new printer. And it remains to be seen whether the top dogs need to be afraid of the new competitors or whether the whole thing isn’t really terrible for the end customer.
Packaging and scope of delivery
The Kobra 3 and ACE are delivered in a large cardboard box, which – much to the delight of the parcel deliverers – is provided with grip holes on the side.
When you open the lid, all kinds of foil and foam are revealed.
The best thing to do is to find as large and free an area as possible to unpack the large cube.
You can then work your way forward piece by piece.
Put the ACE to one side for now, we’ll get to that later.
Stow all the foam back in the box, it might come in handy again.
And then we can take a first look at the 3D printer named after a snake, visually they don’t have much in common.
The printer comes with various attachments, tools and all kinds of small parts, which you can see here.
Here is an overview of the key technical data, further information can be found on the shops’s product page.
