CPU Pro Reviews System Workstations

AMD Ryzen 9 3950X and 3900X in workstation test against Intel's Skylake X, Coffee Lake and of course yourself in 65-watt eco mode

In general, we're only reduced to rendering, which is nice, but reflects the workflows as a whole very poorly. As long as you don't render, but let the Quadro P6000 do, Intel's consumer CPUs sprint off like unleashed. Gaming once again sends greetings.

Nevertheless, after the somewhat subdued preview, we naturally slide over into the raytracing, because our new bot wants to be visualized finally. My explicit thanks go to Wolfgang Weidler, the creator of the cuddly figure – honour to whom honour is due! And if so, then the Core i9-9980XE will also be furnished, astonishingly clear. For this, even the 65 watts, which are not exceeded, are sufficient. Less power consumption with less rendering time – Greta would surely like to come across a cocoa and pluck the bot at the antenna.

But it's also much more complex, where the Core i9-9980XE can beat the savings version of the Ryzen and find itself grumbling in the Ryzen sandwich. Depending on the scene, this is even repeated.

For this, the second BMW and some other rendering images work again with the Ryzen family and the exclusive tip.

Luxrender scales really well over the core count, with the comparison of the 16-corers again going in AMD's favor. Only the 18-corer has to be pulled this time, even quite clearly. But the rest is well under control. The Ryzen 9 3900X clearly notices its missing 4 cores or 8 threads.
