CPU Pro Reviews System Workstations

AMD Ryzen 9 3950X and 3900X in workstation test against Intel's Skylake X, Coffee Lake and of course yourself in 65-watt eco mode

The whole thing fits seamlessly with Inventor 2020 Pro. Modeling time is lowest and the 3D real-time display via the Nvidia Quadro P6000 is not much slower than Intel's consumer CPUs. One hardly notices any difference visually, but the subjective impression with the Ryzen CPUs is simply more fluid. This was very different for the first-generation Ryzen and Threadripper CPUs. The benchmark tool is based on the ongoing full installation, so requires a licensed version.

The benchmark used is quite useful, even if I would have liked to see an even larger scope. The 5 iterations I used in The Extensive Mode are at least reasonably representative and, above all, provide consistent results. You don't always have that.
