Since its debut last December, The RX 7900 XT doesn’t seem to be selling as well as hoped, as it was marked down directly from its original MSRP of $899. Just a few days ago, the price officially dropped to $830, which is the lowest price for this card since its launch.
Today, the RX 7900 XT is available for $819 for the reference model and even cheaper for $799 in the form of the Custom ASRock Phantom GPU. This means that the RX 7900 XT is already up to $100 cheaper than it was at launch, and that’s only 80 days after release. In Germany, the currently cheapest RX 7900XT from Powercolor costs 849 euro including VAT. Here, too, the trend is downward, because the net price is long below 720 euros and is approaching the 700 mark.
But what is even more important is the fact that all the cards are all in stock, so they would be available for immediate delivery. Unfortunately, the price reduction only affects the RX 7900 XT with a slimmed-down Navi 31 GPU and 20 GB VRAM. The flagship RX 7900 XTX model with 24 GB is still not available at MSRP in many stores. However, the lower price for the XT SKU will undoubtedly put pressure on the RTX 4080 series starting at 1240 Euros, not to mention the RTX 4070 Ti, which is a slower card with only 12 GB of memory, but somehow still costs 899 Euros and more.
