Dwarf Uprising: Entry-level and lower middle class against the Radeon RX 560

Overview in the entry-level area It is of course a kind of tragic comedy that the sample of the Radeon RX 560 has only reached us now and only after some requests from our US colleagues to AMD. Summary

Let's start in midfield. Although the Asus ROG RX 560 Strix Gaming OC can still hold a little connection with newer titles with Volcano or DirectX12 API, against the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti it simply does not see any country in most titles and often has to beat even a GeForce GTX 1050 if it has not run out of memory again. This in turn sets the Radeon card with 4 GB positively off from this card equipped with significantly too little memory, because the 2 GB are simply no longer up-to-date.

The power consumption also speaks for the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, if you want to make that in the range of 100 watts and less at all as an argument. At the price, however, the fun at Nvidia unfortunately stops, because in the range of approx. 110 to 120 Euro you already get a Radeon RX 560, but not a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, but only the smaller GeForce GTX 1050 with the aforementioned 2GB deficiency symptoms.

If you can't or don't want to go up to 150 euros, the Radeon RX 560 is the only viable alternative. Because if we're honest, both the GeForce GTX 1030 and the Radeon 550 are cards that are already simply overwhelmed with Full HD when it comes to current (re) titles. Office yes, don't play. And the Radeon RX 570, which has nominated all the benchmarks? Due to the mining boom, this card is simply too expensive to be a clean alternative for gamers, which is a real shame.

Conclusion on the Asus ROG RX 560 Strix Gaming OC

This very special card is, since the mouse does not bite a thread, for the offered performance within the RX-560 family then quite expensive. You would get a much faster and at the same time a slightly more economical GeForce GTX 1050 Ti for sometimes even less money, provided you are not an Asus-loyal brand lover. Some details of the map could please us in the individual view, but a few then also not (hotspots). Even the overclocking up to the maximum possible limit allows the also overclockable GeForce GTX 1050 Ti to remain far away, unfortunately.
