Question Radeon 21.9.2 Driver wattage increase?

I am seeing my 6900xt running up to 410 watts and higher. Anyone else notice this?

This Screenshot is just from a 15 sec stress test in AMD software for example. It use to stay no more than 305 stock in the past.

Nobody knows exactly what this is about, the values are not real.
Look at the TGP values in HWInfo, they correspond more to what you are used to.

Correct. For the latest driver some of the parameters might have changed names and, therefore, we all get somehow confused.
So forget about it, look at the W you have set in MPT and at the temperatures - this is what counts for me.

Install the 21.10.1, they claim that this confusion was resolved.

I did. Deep down inside I was hoping they was relaxing the wattage controls. After asking you guys, you guys were on it and crushed my dreams!

But coming back to your original question about the 410W vs. 305W - why do you care? And I would recommend fo feed 500W to this card

I would love too, but after watching Buildzoid cracked his GPU running 500 watts. I am hesitant since GPU's are hard to come by around my location.

I assume that as long s the cooling of the card works well, there is no immediate danger. I just would not recommend to run a card at 500W in a 24/7 setting. I haven't seen any Buildzoid videos, but they have sufficient cards to run at higher risk.
