Hi,
I am failing to update Gigabyte 5700 XT. The same procedure updates the BIOS on MSI cards with no problem. I follow the instructions on Igors Lab.

The sign of having trouble with the card bios flash shows in GPU-Z. After flash using amdvbflash the values of GPU and memory frequencies is empty. With stock bios there are Mhz frequencies.

Is there any known problems with flashing Gigabyte cards?
Any suggestions on what other forums I may ask for assistance?
Is it possible that the OEM bios is signed, and any modified bios will be rejected?
If the bios is signed, any tools to resign, or would I need to buy a card from a different vendor?

Thanks,

Alley Cat

Great, let us increase the memory clock to 910 MHz, if it fine then let us decrease the MVDD to 1360 mv and VDDCI to 830 mv and check.

Alright, now start decreasing the voltages bit by bit until you reach the lowest stable voltages for the long run, start first with MVDD at 1350 MV, VDDCI at 830 mv and VDD at 800 mv.

Let us decrease the MVDD to 1350 mv and keep the VDDCI at 830 mv and the VDD at 800 mv, success then,
decrease the VDDCI to 820 mv, success,
decrease the VDDCI to 810.
No change from the previous numbers.

I reduced the VDDCI all the way to 750. At 750mv I started to see Invalid Shares errors. Below 770 there is no further reduction in power. The lowest I could reach is 109W.

Let us increase the MVDD to 1360 mv and the VDDCI at 780 and decrease the VDD to 780 mv.

I think we need to stabilize the card for production. It is hard for me to consider higher speeds from the card with the Samsung memory.
However, I have an interesting discovery. The card's efficiency is best at memory clock 910MHz, with Core 750mv, and VDDCI 750mv. The power went down to 97 - 97 W.
Please check these numbers. Would you agree that getting 57MH/s at 97W (reported by HiveOS) is efficient? I also have to consider stability and multiple cards variations.

I think Apple's straps work steady and give stable increase of hash speed.

How about we shift the focus to reducing the power for all cards?
What about these results from yesterday, not stable anymore?

If we are not going to increase the core clock of 1420 MHz then try these two,

VDD at 770 MHz, VDDCI at 770 MHz, MVDD at 1350 mv, memory clock at 910 MHz

VDD at 760 MHz, VDDCI at 760 MHz, MVDD at 1350 mv, memory clock at 910 MHz

VDD at 750 MHz, VDDCI at 750 MHz, MVDD at 1350 mv, memory clock at 910 MHz

and please check.
The best performance is VDD at 750 MHz, VDDCI at 750 MHz, MVDD at 1350 mv, memory clock at 910 MHz.
However, I don't know how stable it would be over a long run.

Please see the tests summary report:

However, I don't know how stable it would be over a long run.

Please see the tests summary report:
The card just crashed at 750 MHz, VDDCI at 750 MHz, MVDD at 1350 mv, memory clock at 910 MHz.
I will move up to 760/760/1350 and let it run for a while.

I am going to let the card run for a while at 760/760/1350.
If the GPU start reporting shares errors, which of the parameters I should try to increase to fix an Invalid shares error?

I run overnight the rig at 760/760/1350, and out of 710 accepted shares there was on invalid. The power was never above 104W.

I think what is important is knowing what needs to be increased to address any future errors in Invalid shares.

Can we start optimizing the Gigabyte cards?
Perhaps you could give me the steps with upper and lower limits. I can run the tests and periodically report the progress.
