Hello and thank you for everything. Currently, I have a 5600XT in which I have flashed the modified bios by Red BIOS Editor. However, the BIOS did not work, the system hangs during POST. This is no problem, I am used to flashing BIOS with SPI Programmer CH341a, I am free to test anything.

I think maybe this did not work due to the fact that my card is dual BIOS, and when I read the BIOS from the memory chip, it comes out with 1024kb, rather than the 512kb saved from GPU-Z. When I try to open this extracted BIOS with RBE, it modifies fine, but does not save by stating "An unknown error occurred when accessing (filename path). This is not a permission issue, I am running admin. It works fine to save the file when I use the GPUz extracted rom. However, even with the 512KB file, it does not work to post the card.

I have tried several things, the last one was to make only a very small change on the GFX Maximum Clock to 1900MHz. It still does not work. I originally made a BIOS with a lot more changes and limits, such as 2100, 1000 memory, more power, voltage, etc, etc. but decided to make a small alteration to see if it would work-- unfortunately it doesn't.

I have also tried to open in HxD the original long file 1024kb and noticed it makes no difference, because after 000FFFF0 it is only 0's anyway. Also, in HxD, I have tried to open the original stock BIOS and overwrite the part, leaving the correct file size, but this also did not work to POST. Stock BIOS still works fine when re-flashed, card is perfect.

So, I am leaving a link to my files, to see if we can figure out why the modified BIOS is not working on my 5600XT.
Here is the URL: http://xonedigital.com/BIOS_etc.zip
on this ZIP file, there are the following:
1 - 5600xt1_gpuz.rom (Original BIOS from the card extracted with GPU-Z)
2 - 5600xt-stock_extract.rom (This is the BIOS file extracted from the Chip with SPI Programmer, it loads on RBE, but fails to save)
3 - mpt-1900_only.mpt (This is an example of a small change I tried to see if it would work, only changing maximum clock to 1900mhz)
4 - 1900-ONLY-BIOS1.rom (This is the final outcome of RED BIOS EDITOR using the GPU-Z BIOS with the MorePowerTool settings of 1900mhz)

I hope this helps, thank you so much for all your work again and let me know if anything else is needed. I am really looking forward to free up the power of this 5600XT :)

Thanks again!

Hello everyone!

@Mini_Me , could you help me unlocking the bios for a Sapphire 5600 XT Pulse (the one with the dual bios). I attached the bios rom.

Thank you!

Hello,
I have a card which I want to use for mining, it is a Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 5600 XT 6G (PN: S88-4E426-210SA)(SKU: 11296-01-20G).
The hash rate I get now in HiveOS is betwen 39,7 and 40,3 MH/s (depending on the miner) and I understand that a Bios update/mod will help increasing the hashrate to around 43 MH/s while having also lower power consumption.
I have never moded any BIOS until now and I'm a bit worried I may brick the card if I try to do "prepare" a moded BIOS by myself.

Would you be so kind to provide me with a moded version for mining or let me know if the file for "Sapphire RX 5600 XT 6 GB Pulse OC 113-4E4262U-X4N" from @bitby would do the job?

I have saved and attached here the 2 BIOS files from my card.
Because I do not know which one is called the "silent" one, I have named them left and right according to the indication in the photo below.

Thank you.

Hello and welcome,

If your card E426 have Micron memory then the X4N from bitby will work without problem,

If your card E426 have Samsung memory the X4Q from bitby will work without problem.

Hi,

My card has Micron memory and I flashed it with the X4N variant and I can say it works great.
Now the card reports between 42.9 and 43.5 MH/s (depending on the miner) and a reported power consumption of around 85W.

Many thanks to you and Bitby.

You are welcome, if you like you can support bitby in any way you like.

A BIG thanks to Mini_Me for providing a perfectly flashable BIOS !
I've been able to lower GPU voltage to 700 mV and apply 1550 MHz timings to 1750 and 1800 MHz steps.
Now the card delivers 42,02 Mh/s at 83 W, 117 W on wall !
GPU is now at 1150 MHz, don't seem to gain any performances at 1300 MHz
VRAM make all perf actually : upped from 1840 to 1846 MHz to go from 41,89 to 42,02 Mh/s
Seems stable so far, still waiting for invalid shares
Still have to apply -40% Power Target to lower GPU SoC Voltage at 806 mV (can't hard modify it).
Memory voltage stays at 850 mV (can't modify it)
Hello, I ran in to the same issue for the same card. Can I try the this new modified Bios also ?

Hi @Mini_Me!

You helped me with a rom last time, was hoping you could help me unlock a RX 5600 XT again, would really appreciate it! Thank you so much!

I have been trying to to bios mod my xfx 5600xt raw II pro for 2 days nothing was working out it would just go into soft brick when I flashed the msi modded bios. Eventually I was able to flash the stock msi unlocked bios on linux and it flashed fine but the card would still soft brick. And now the third day i finally figured it out lol. After opening rbe and comparing the my stock bios and the msi I realized that my card has samsung memory and I was trying to flash the msi bios which is micron. I then fount the xfx 5600xt thicc samsung unlocked modded bios from here https://bitby.ru/bios-rx5600xt-mod-en.php and it worked. The reason why I thought mine was micron was because in a youtube video someone said to check which memory I have with amd memory tweak v 0.2.3. It was showing that I have micron. My troubleshooting might save somebody a lot of time.

But what memory temperature?

I tried mining with my ASrock and if i put mem clock above 1500Mhz temp starts skyrocketing to 80ºC or more when 1800Mhz.. i think above 70ºC memory temp will harm em' badly on the very short term.

Unless u dont worry on burning ur graphics cards because u have lots to spare AKA big mining rigs...

80 c is normal temp on the 5700xt's. 95 c is the red zone. if you have it running below 90c you should be fine.

70c is nowhere near dangerous memory temps.

No. 70c no.

80c yes. Thats what i said.

80c for hours and days straight nonstop will roast your memory chips guaranteed.

Even on NiceHash site FAQ is not recommended to mine above 76c temp.

I mean, im new to mining, but for me its common sense, been gaming for years and hardware is the same.

Hello @Mini_Me

I am having issues with modding my BIOS on my ASUS Strix 5600 XT, attached is my stock BIOS. I would greatly appreciate your assistance as I am unable to perform any mod on the BIOS, GPU will not post and bricks that BIOS until flashed back to stock.
