The vbios is most likely locked which means you may get black screen after booting, I believe I already sent you a message before and regarding modifying the vbios, one must have sufficient knowledge especially with MXM gpu cards like your laptop.

Dear Mini_Me,

Here's the bios file.
Very well, after I finish I will update you whenever it is possible,

The vbios will be optimized to run the memory clock at 1625 MHz and more than this is not recommended for the laptop, and the total board power (TBP and not TGP) 100 to 104 Watt max to reduce heat dissipation and avoid throttling, if there is a way to avoid triggering the smartshift then I will apply it.

Smartshift can be disabled through BIOS injection. I have also ordered this one now. Will be able to experiment and report the findings.

Did you do anything different to edit the BIOS than normal 5600XT? Used the red panda bios for 5600 xt?

Yes, we have unlocked and optimized the vbios for better results, currently I am upgrading the vbios to stably support memory clock at 1750 to 1800 MHz.

Neat. So. have you observed micron or samsung memory on these mobile chips?

Thing is with smartshift disabled and probably with manual fans control on cpu end we can achieve better cooling while mining.
I am not sure but perhaps the ryzen cpu and amd gpu is sharing the cooler heatpipes or at least it looked it like does.

I believe both Samsung and Micron,

If the upgrade is successful and the hardware is compatible with it then with optimization a hashrate of 43 is achievable.

The OP already tested the unlocked and optimized vbios, and he is intended to test the upgraded vbios after I finish it as well.
is the process same as the desktop 5600xt? Using the factory bios, unlock using amdvbflash and saving the mpt file and applying the mpt on top of the unlocked MSI 5600 XT gaming card bios?

Did you modify the latest VBIOS or the old VBIOS?

New VBIOS is on Dell support site here https://www.dell.com/support/home/e...ode=wt64a&productcode=g-series-15-5505-laptop

And old VBIOS is https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/221910/dell-rx5600m-6144-200219

Also please don't forget that the Micron vRAM had so many issues in the Dell that Dell have stopped selling the RX5600M with Micron, they only sell Samsung equipped RX5600M.
I believe I have the latest as I received it however I would appreciate if you could update your card and send me a backup copy of its vbios for checking.
