I am contemplating about buying this card because someone is offering this to me for a cheaper price here where I live. From my understanding, this card is just the "professional" / "workstation" equivalent of RX 5700 XT.

Any thoughts on this card? Has anyone here actually used this for mining? Does anyone know what the hashrate is? Can an unlocked BIOS be flashed on this GPU?

It is a goog card, Its pcb and components the same of 5700 XTX,

Its hashrate is most likely the same as 5700 XT as I believe the memory clock may be pushed further than 5700,

I can unlock its vbios for you however this is my first time unlocking the vbios of this card.

By the way if it is possible to request checking the card then take your HiveOS installed on a USB drive and test it before buying it to be 100% that it will work the way you want it.

I am not sure if I can arrange this because the seller is in a different city than me. We'll probably have the item sent via a courier service in case I purchase it. I don't use HiveOS either.

Very well, please check the kindly attached link below,

I was finally able to get my hands on this card and I just did some testing. I've also extracted its stock/default BIOS and I am attaching the file here.

Here's a comparison between the W5700 Pro and one of my Gigabyte RX 5700 XTs on the GPU-Z sensor while PhoenixMiner is running. Note that my 5700 XT has a modded BIOS optimized for mining and my W5700 Pro is in its stock state:

Please note that PhoenixMiner can't detect the info of the W5700 Pro although the card mines at 50.XXX MH/s. Setting CMD parameters in PhoenixMiner (cvddc, mclock, etc.) does not work. I am also getting the below weird yellow warning/text in the PhoenixMiner CMD console:

Additionally, the sliders in MSI Afterburner are disabled when the W5700 Pro is selected:

Very well, I will send you an unlocked vbios,

I would like to know a couple of things first, have you modified the original vbios yet? And have you tried to cross flash AMD reference RX 5700 vbios to it yet?

I may have done a very stupid thing. I played around with the orig bios file and flashed it. Now my system won't POST even if its default graphics source is mobo/CPU.

Did I just hard brick the GPU I just bought? :( I hope there's a way around this.

No worries, Is there a second gpu or a cpu with integrated gpu available?

Yes, I have other GPUs and another CPU with integrated graphics. What do you need me to do?
Very well,

Please connect the working gpu to the display OR connect the integrated gpu to the display using a vga cable and set the integrated onboard gpu as the main one in the motherboard settings,

Then connect the bricked gpu to the motherboard pcie x1 using riser adapter OR connect it a second pcie x16 if available,

Boot to windows or hiveos or Linux and reflash the bricked gpu with the original backup vbios.

I will do what you advised on another motherboard and with another CPU with integrated graphics.

But do note that the current motherboard and CPU with integrated graphics that I am using won't pass POST as long as the bricked GPU is connected. It does not matter if I set the default display to CPU graphics or PCIE, the system just won't boot when the bricked GPU is connected. When I disconnect the bricked W5700 Pro, the PC boots perfectly again.

My research has so far led me to doing the BIOS chip shorting method in order for my system to recognize my card.

In case I resort to that, would you know which is the BIOS chip here? I hope the image is clear enough.

Information online says the chip should be labeled U1-12 but I can't find that anywhere on the back of the card.

Regarding using cpu with the integrated gpu you need to connect the motherboard vga yo the display using standard vga cable and not HDMI cable.

The photo below is the mentioned standard vga cable.

I will do this in a few hours and let you know of the results. I'll just get some sleep now. This whole quandary is starting to take a toll on me mentally considering that I bought this card for $400 and bricked it right away. Lol
